Sailor Moon Crystal Act 2, Sailor Mercury

Just finished watching Sailor Moon Crystal Act 2: Ami, Sailor Mercury.

From the first two act or two episodes, I can assure that the story will be same as in Manga. So, the story is not run slowly like old anime version.

One thing Act 2 show me is about transformation of sailor soldiers. Transformation will be same as old anime version but improved with CG and add some new sequences to make them more beautiful and have more dimension.

My thought about new version of Sailor Mercury transformation are follow:

- New transformation has nice background and special effects.
- Posture after transformation is prettier than old version.
- I don't like water steam that come out from transformation pen. It's not looks sparkle like old version. May be it will be improved in next season?? (Hope it has season 2 and so on!!)
- Sequence between water stream become to sailor suit is too plain. I think it's too suddenly when water stream become to wave and suddenly the sailor suit appear. It would be great if it has some special effects here.

Can't wait for Act 3!!

What I think about Sailor Moon Crystal

I just watched Sailor Moon Crystal, remake version of Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon. My feeling about the series is "I love it!!" Long time for waiting since I heard about news that the series will be remake and af ter I saw it I think it's worth for waiting!!

At first, when I heard opening song for the first time in trailer (Moon Pride - by Momoiro Clover Z) I really don't like the song. It's not elegance and has no magic like "Moonlight Densetsu", the opening from Old version of Sailor Moon. But when I listen again in full TV length version and read translation along, I think Moon Pride is suitable for this version of Sailor Moon. There is a verse in lyrics said "As a brand new legend is born" umm.. Absolutely true and suitable with remake version.

When talking about Sailor Moon, there is one thing that everyone must talking about or interested in. It is transformation scene of Sailor Soldier (or they call Pretty Guardian in this Crystal version). In Sailor Moon Crystal, many people think that the transformation scene is not good. Many people who don't like the scene think that it should not use 3D technique or CG to create the scene because it looks like video game or looks like robot anime and doesn't look naturally. In my opinion, I like new version of transformation scene. It has dimension and depth more than old 2D version. Moreover, it looks like Usagi is dancing when transformation than the older version. I can remember that the writer of Sailor Moon "Naoko Takeuchi" has written about Sailor Moon transformation. She wrote in the way that Sailor Moon transformation action is inspired by dancing movement. When I saw Sailor Moon Crystal transformation scene, I was suddenly think about that thing, "Inspired by dancing movement"

Overall, I really satisfy in first episode of Sailor Moon Crystal. Can't wait to see the second episode!!
